She is on the executive Board of Directors of the Vasculitis Foundation, the leading authority in education and research of vasculitis diseases. In 2012, she launched Shop4Vasculitis, a holiday shop-for-a-cause campaign that, in combination with other fundraising efforts has raised over $150,000 and helped launch the Ilya Peckerman Vasculitis Teaching Fellows Program, which educates primary care physicians in NY/NJ area on early signs of vasculitis, so they can best direct patients to treatment.
